Oklahoma City, OK - Mintiva was recently awarded the "On the Brink" award by the Journal Record at the Innovator of the Year awards banquet in Oklahoma City, OK.  The awards are granted to innovative companies in Oklahoma each year, and Mintiva was proud to be a 2011 recipient. Mintiva develops novel formulations of topical pain relief products for patients with temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJD), arthritis, and orthopedic and sports-related pain.

"It is a great honor to be recognized beside all of these fantastic and innovative companies," said Mintiva CEO Ron Davidson. "We're working hard to improve the lives of patients suffering from many types of acute and chronic pain, and this is a wonderful validation that we are making strides toward that goal."

The company is based in Moore, and looks to move to Oklahoma City this Summer. Mintiva markets more than a dozen topical pain products, and is in development of additional topical creams and gels for other medical needs.  Mintiva partnered with Oklahoma-based Cosmetic Specialty Labs, an FDA-monitored manufacturing facility in Lawton, OK. "It's a fantastic opportunity to be able to design, formulate, test, and manufacture all of our products right here in Oklahoma," said Mr. Davidson. "We have a bright future ahead of us."
